COVID-19 Updates from Kearney Eye Institute

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak is affecting everyone in our community, and we are committed to keeping you informed.

On May 11th, Kearney Eye Institute and Surgical Center will gradually begin to return to our 'new normal'.  This does not mean business as usual.  We will continue to follow protocol and guidelines, including social distancing and taking all precautions to maintain safety for both our patients and staff.  Here is an overview of how we will be proceeding.

Kearney Eye will be gradually increasing both our clinic and surgery schedules over the next 4-8 weeks while continuing to meet all safety and elective surgery protocol.

Safety is a priority for our patients and staff.

Screenings will continue at our clinic entrance for both patients and staff.  This will consist of being asked a set of questions, along with taking their temperature, before being allowed to enter the clinic.  Everyone will be asked to wear a clean face mask or covering when inside the building.

At this time, only patients are allowed into the building for their appointments.  Family and friends will be asked to wait in their vehicle.  Exceptions will occur when a minor is involved or the patient is in need of a support person, which will be detmined by our clinic.
In order to maintain social distancing and remain within safety protocols, there may be times when a patient will be asked to wait in their vehicle in order to keep appropriate spacing within the clinic.

Together we will emerge from this challenge stronger than ever.
